The Goffstown Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time dispatcher. Minimum qualifications include HS Diploma or equivalent, familiar with computers, keyboard operations, prior radio, phone or other communications experience desired, but not required. Must work rotating shifts. Ability to complete in-service training and SPOTS certification, valid NH driver’s license.

Citizens Bank Robbery

On Wednesday February 8, 2017 at about 4:33pm, the Citizen’s Bank located at 11 Church St reported a robbery where a male passed the teller a note, demanding cash. No weapon was shown and the male suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Following an active investigation with great help from both our media and community partners, a suspect was quickly identified as:
Robert A. Ruggiero – 11/11/93 (23)
New Boston, NH
Ruggiero was taken into custody within five hours of the time of the call and charged with one count of Robbery, a Class B Felony and has held on $10,000.00 Cash Only Bail. He will be arraigned in the 9th Circuit District Court – Goffstown on Thursday, February 09, 2017.

The male suspect was possibly seen leaving the area in a newer model silver Honda (Accord or Civic).
The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with potential information is urged to call the Goffstown

December 18th, 2016 GOFFSTOWN – Police Make Arrest after burglary in progress call
GOFFSTOWN — On December 17, 2016, at approximately 630PM, The Goffstown Police Department responded to the area of Edmond St for a burglary in progress call. Once officers arrived on scene they found the homeowner had detained the suspected burglar. After a brief investigation at the scene officers arrested:
Patella was also in possession of burglary tools at the time of his arrest.
Patella was charged with Burglary and Possession of Burglary Tools. He is being held on $50,000 Cash Bail at the Hillsborough County House of Correction. He will be arraigned on Monday December 19, 2016 at the Ninth Circuit – District Court in Goffstown.
The Goffstown Police Department, in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Task Force, executed a search warrant at 602 Black Brook Road in Goffstown. Included with the search warrant were seven arrest warrants for individuals with various charges relating to the sale of heroin in the greater Goffstown Area. Please see the attached press release.

The overnight parking ban also includes municipal parking lots with the exception of the Town Hall parking lot in the designated spaces.

When clearing walkways and driveways please don’t put ice and snow into streets.
